The College has come a long way since 1968. Students of this Alma Mater are now showing their presence felt all through the world by dint of their brilliance which got its first shower of nutrients in the precincts of this very Institute. It is a proud moment for all of us who have remained tethered to the roots through thick and thin and seen the upheavals of this great place of learning. The College has seen a sea of change in recent times with import of new gadgets and equipments bringing hope and succor to millions of hapless people of this remote region.

The Xth Alumni Meet of the Silchar Medical College Alumni Association was observed on 13th & 14th February 2010 with pomp and grandeur. Old boys of this noble Institution from far and near came to join for a get together on these two days. At the end of the day all of them departed with a heavy heart with a resolve to meet again in 2012.

The skyline in the Campus has changed very dramatically since last few years. New buildings are coming up very fast and all the vacant land is getting filled up. The view of the outdoor complex that you see here has also received a facelift and the new façade is likely to come up in a few months time.
